1. Can anyone unseat Jimmie Johnson at the top?

So to pry that trophy out of Johnson’s hands, a driver has to beat the 48 team at their own game. Which driver has the equipment and talent to lead laps at any type of racetrack and bang out a streak of four or five wins in a ten race stretch?

Once again, it’s Kyle Busch. The knock on Rowdy has always been that he can win races, but his bad days are too bad to give him the consistency to run with Johnson.

This year will be different. Busch is one year older and now knows what it’s going to take to win. He is cutting back his schedule in the Nationwide Series and Camping World Truck Series to focus on the Cup team. He has also made personnel changes, most notably at Crew Chief, in an attempt to achieve the consistency that has eluded him throughout his career.

Martin is the public favorite to challenge Johnson for the Cup, but the Smart Money is behind Ky. Busch.
