David Ragan once again is my top C lister this week and look for all the Roushkateers to be fast. No need to save any starts, use him if you got any left.
Paul Menard is trending up, but he didn’t really seem all that stout this weekend in practice. I’d expect 15th-20th for the No. 27 team this weekend.
Regan Smith seems to like Homestead and I have a sneaky suspicion he finishes top 15 this week. He’s done really well at high banked tracks this year, Darlington comes to mind. Could we see Edwards and Smith fighting for the win again? That was a joke, but crazier things have happened.
Trevor Bayne was nothing special in practice and was actually disappointing. He is in a Ford though and is the penultimate Hail Mary!
My pick to win is Carl Edwards.
My sleepers are Greg Biffle, Martin Truex Jr., Marcos Ambrose, and Jeff Burton. I think Biffle has a shot to win.
Drivers to avoid are Joe Gibbs Racing drivers. It’s a fast track and they’re down on horsepower.
