While I think Kurt Busch has a case that the wreck in practice on Friday night was Tony Stewart’s fault, what Kurt did after the wreck is totally unacceptable.
In the opinion of this writer, Kurt Busch should be parked and not allowed to run in the 2008 Bud Shootout. Using your car as retaliation, down pit road, is completely unacceptable and should be punished to the extreme. However, I don’t feel a point fine or any short of a Daytona 500 penalty is warranted here simply due to the fact that this did happen in a practice session. I think the penalty of parking him for the Bud Shootout is the proper penalty.
The team should be allowed to put a replacement driver in the car (Sam Hornish Jr for example) so that the team and sponsor or not penalized for the actions of Kurt Busch.
