Yahoo Fantasy NASCAR Preview – Auto Club 500

C List

1. Sam Hornish Jr. (9)

Hornish finished 5th at Michigan in August and 12th at Auto Club in October. That’s about as good as it gets for C Listers.

2. A.J. Allmendinger (9)

The Dinger did not run too well at Auto Club and Michigan last season, but expect a turnaround in 2010. For the first time in his career, Allmendinger does not have to worry about the future of his ride and can focus strictly on racing.

Right now, Hornish is the early leader to get the start, but a strong qualifying effort and good practice times could sway me in Allmendinger’s direction.

    Hey David,

I believe you are referring to KWiseman’s practice breakdown. That gets posted to the blog on Saturday’s after Happy Hour practice.

Check back Saturday evening or Sunday morning and it should be posted.

  2. Probably not the appropriate place to ask, but did not see any other place to ask. Last season, someone posted weekly after quals & happy hour how the cars looked and listed their picks for winners, sleepers, etc? Is this still being posted? If so, where on the site is it located. That small post last year was VERY informative and usually right on the money. Thanks and keep up the good work!

I’m going with an A driver that kinda seems to be under the radar, so to speak, and that’s Biffle. He’s won here before, finished top 5 here in this race last year and I think he gets another top 5 Sunday.

I can’t argue against Jimmie but i like Kyle and Carl better plus i want to save Jimmie. However, if Carl’s on baby watch i’ll go Kyle and Jimmie and Jimmie strictly for qualifying unless Kyle looks terrible.

I think Kahne is going to be strong this week, but other than that i have the same B list.
